Can’t Fall Asleep? This Homemade ”Sleepy Dust” Will Cure Insomnia Forever

Healthy Food House

Waking up in the middle of the night can be quite unpleasant and frustrating. According to scientists, about 42% of all people in the USA experience this issue.

Namely, the main reason for this is undoubtedly everyday stress, since as we sleep, there is a strong biochemical reaction going on between stress hormones in the body.

Fortunately, there is a simple, but really effective remedy which is extremely helpful for the ones who experience insomnia frequently. It includes salt and sugar only, but it provides fantastic effects.

Both of these ingredients are necessary for the body and our metabolism, as they are in charge of the regulation of stress hormones and aid the energy generation by cells.

They act as cell chargers, as glucose is needed for the mitochondria, while the healthy balance of sodium in the intercellular fluids results in body energy and proper respiration.

Moreover, sugar sends a message to the body that it does not need to release stress hormones anymore, and salt maintains a homeostatic state, followed by a controlled function of the adrenaline. Moreover, you should already know that sugar does not make a person hyperactive.

This is how to prepare your own, homemade “sleeping dust” and treat insomnia:

  • 2 tablespoons pure pink Himalayan sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons organic brown sugar
  • 5 tbsp honey
Method of preparation:

You should mix all ingredients in a plastic bag, and shake them well in order to get a homogenous mixture.

Before going to sleep, or when you wake up during the night, you should put a tablespoon of this mixture under the tongue. Let it melt and it will end up in your blood. That’s all!

The results will astonish you!

  1. Apparently the 5 tbsp of honey needs to be in a dehydrated form, although not specified here. Do not try this with regular wet honey. I should have known better but tried it anyway and ended up with a sticky mess in a bag. Wasted honey! I wouldn't mind if it actually helped with my sleep issues but it didn't.
